How to Register a New Hong Kong Company on DIY!HKcom?

Are you ready to set up a Hong Kong company? Incorporate a new business in 11 simple steps.

Step 1: Prepare the requirements for the registration of a new Hong Kong company which include a company name, shareholders, director, company secretary, registered office address (in HK), and paid-up capital.

Step 2: Register a DIY!HKcom new account. You will receive an email from DIY!HKcom with a link that you need to click. You will set your new password and your new account will be verified and ready for use.

Step 3: Login to your DIY!HKcom account. Create a new application and fill in the application form with the basic contact person's information such as email, first name, last name, gender, and contact phone number.

Step 4: A local Hong Kong registered office address is compulsory for anyone registering a company. If you are going to use your own registered office address, leave all the default settings unchanged in the application form and click "Next step". If you need DIY!HKcom to provide a registered office address, select one of the four packages (i.e. A, B, C, or D).

Step 5: Select any the optional items which you need, including significant controller assistance, nominee shareholder service, green box, set of company stamps, bank account opening service, and express service. Now click "Next step".

Step 6: Enter the new company details including 3 choices of English name, and principal business. Providing 3 choices of Chinese name is optional.

Step 7: Enter the shareholder and/or director information including the nature (i.e. a natural person or an entity), English name, Chinese name (optional), percentage of shares of capital, country of passport, passport number, residential or registered office address. The maximum number of shareholders and director is three. Without any residency requirement, a minimum of one shareholder could be a person of any nationality or a company. A shareholder could be a director. Click "Next step".

Step 8: Make your payment (with a credit card, or PayPal). The cost of company registration includes all the items of your chosen package, and the government fees (i.e. Business Registration and Companies Registry). You can select a payment currency (HK dollar or US dollar).

Step 9: Upload the certified copies of the passport documents of the director and shareholder(s), and their proof of residential addresses. The passport documents must still be valid for at least 3 months before the expiry dates. The proof of residential address may be one of the following such as electricity bill, gas bill, government post, or bank statements.

Step 10: Confirm all the information you have provided is correct, and complete the application.

Step 11: Wait for feedback (for your application) from the DIY!HKcom team.
